Welcome to Pattaya's most popular golfing website
The PGS "clubhouse" is Rabbi's Elephant Bar (REB), situated in Soi Buakhao, just next to the junction with Soi 21. It is the home of the IPGC Pattaya Golf Society - originally known as the "Bunker Boys". The Pattaya Golf Society, Pattaya's oldest golf society, ranks as one of the most popular golf groups in Pattaya with competitions arranged three times each week. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we play competitions which are either stableford or medal based, in two flights, according to the handicaps of those involved. In addition we hold two Order of Merit events each month and the Society's annual Player of the Year is thus chosen. The Pattaya Golf Society is affiliated to the International Pattaya Golf Club (IPGC) which holds its Monthly Medal during the first week of every month. Members comprise of long term residents and holidaymakers alike, and all are welcome, regardless of gender, age or handicap. Every month we play a selection of the twenty-one unique courses available in the area. For serious golfers REB is the ideal base and excellent accomodation is available at a very reasonable price. Click on the link at the bottom of the page for more details.

Security at my server has been breached and we are currently migrating to another server and I am continually being denied access. As a result some updates will be delayed, as has the "Nineteenth Hole" recently, but hopefully all will be restored in a couple of days.
In order to preserve our integrity we have changed the domain name to "thepattayagolfsociety.org" and until the migration has been completed in a few days from Wednesday, 10th March you will automatically be redirected from the current site. Please bookmark the new site as normal.
We apologise if your enjoyment of our online golf "club" has been affected. |
There are currently 739 IPGC members who have joined IPGC through the Pattaya Golf Society since 2000.
In 2009, the Pattaya Golf Society members played 3102 rounds, generating more than five million baht (more than £100,000) for the local golf "industry".

IPGC PGS Competiton Rules
Competitions are open to IPGC members only. Non IPGC members may play one round only. After that they are expected to join IPGC. Only IPGC members are eligible to receive prizes. All members will be handicapped using the C.O.N.G.U. system
On joining the IPGC, a member will provide a previous handicap from their home Club, in their home Country, for the handicap committee to consider as a starting point.
In the absence of a handicap having already been issued by a home club, the committee will issue a handicap after the member has played in three qualifying competitions and returned a properly completed card. A handicap will then be issued using the best returned card, having consideration that any score of more than 2 over par, at any hole, shall be amended to 2 over par. The initial handicap will be monitored closely over the first six competitions and thereafter immediate adjustments will be made should a golfer break par.
A member’s handicap will be adjusted only after having played in a qualifying competition that appears on the official IPGC Monthly Schedule. All other rounds, for downward revision only, will be considered by the committee under the annual review of the C.O.N.G.U. system covering general play.
Should a member suffer any long term injury or illness that they consider adversely affects their ability to play, they may apply to the handicap committee to have their situation reviewed.
On returning from an extended absence from local IPGC competitions, a member should return any handicap that has been issued under their home system for consideration by the handicap committee.
If a member has a handicap using any system other than the C.O.N.G.U. system, either higher or lower than that shown on the current handicap list the IPGC handicap will take precedence in all qualifying IPGC Competitions.
It is the responsibility of the golfer to ensure he/she has signed up for events. The organizer must be notified of any cancellation before departure. Unexplained "no shows" will not be accepted in future events.
Sign-up deadline is 6pm, the evening before the event.
All entry fees must be paid at REB before departure unless otherwise agreed.
Prizes will be awarded only at the Presentation, unless otherwise agreed. Unclaimed prizes will be kept for seven days, and thereafter added to the prize fund for the next competition. In major events the prizes will be reallocated.
All golfers must observe "The Rules of Golf" and the Code of Conduct expected by the IPGC in respect of the course, the staff (including caddies) and their playing partners |
